St Brigid Catholic Church is located on the corner of Brook Street and Waltham Street in the eastern suburb of Coogee. It was built in 1921 in the Byzantine architectural style.

The former St Paul’s Anglican Church is located on the corner of Newcaslte Street and Old South Head Road in teh eastern suburb of Rose Bay. It was built in 1918 and later became the church hall when a new church was built next door in 1929. Both are now deconsecrated and the hall is currently being used as a pre-school. While researching the history of these buildings, I discovered that the church, the parish hall and two neighbouring houses are due to be demolished soon to make way for residential flats and a new childcare centre.
All Saints Catholic Church is located on the corner of George Street and Elizabeth Street, in the south western suburb of Liverpool. This church, built in 1963, is an example of post World War 2 ecclesiastical architecture with a feeling of gothic inspired simplicity. The sun was breaking through but the threatening grey sky brought the showers thundering down a few minutes later.
St Nicolas Anglican Church is located along Brook Street and Carr Street in the eastern suburb of Coogee. It was built in 1887 in the Gothic architectural style and reconstructed in 1906 after almost total destruction by fire on 18 August 1905.
St. George Greek Orthodox Church is located on Newcastle Street, in the eastern suburb of Rose Bay. It was built in 1962 and combines elements of traditional Greek Orthodox Church architecture with contemporary designs of that era.
The sun shone through the clearing grey skies above Banksia Free Church, located on Princes Highway in the southern suburb of Banksia.
The Garrison Church at Millers Point is one of many buildings that has been lit up around the city for the third annual Vivid Sydney festival which this year runs from 27th May to 13th June.
