This artwork was installed on the Circular Quay foreshore, as part of the Vivid Sydney festival. “C/C” is a futuristic and functional sculpture created by Singapore’s Angela Chong. It is made from acrylic sheets fashioned into a public bench, illuminated by night with low energy, colour changing LED lights. The shots from the front have the Sydney Opera House as a backdrop, while those from behind look out towards Circular Quay and the city skyline.
As part of the Vivid Sydney festival, this bench has been installed on the Circular Quay foreshore, leading up to the Sydney Opera House. The artwork is called “C/C” and is created by Singapore’s Angela Chong. It is illuminated at night with low energy, colour changing LED lights. I thought it was worth photographing during the day because it has such a spectacular backdrop. It’s a shame the view was partly blocked by the hoarding around the escalators which are being repaired.
This bench in the Royal Botanic Gardens provides a good view of Farm Cove on Sydney Harbour. The seawall surrounding it is constructed of large sandstone blocks. It is bordered by a pedestrian walkway that runs from the Sydney Opera House through the Royal Botanic Gardens to the Domain parklands and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.
Bench on the grounds of Government House overlooks the Royal Botanic Gardens and out towards Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and across Sydney Harbour.
