After much contemplation on where to go to dinner on Saturday night, it was mutually decided between me and my two friends Ana and Jes that a Lebanese feast was in order. We had heard that the Al Aseel restaurant in Greenacre was exceptionally good, so decided to try out their second restaurant in Surry Hills. We hadn’t made a booking but rocked up at about 8.30pm and were seated straight away. The place was buzzing with a predominantly young crowd, with most of the tables being big groups celebrating birthdays or getting together with friends.

Oh yea dinner at Mamak is guaranteed to be good. We headed there last Friday night for a nice hearty dinner after a rainy Sydney week. I was first made aware of Mamak when I kept seeing this huge line out the front of their Goulburn restaurant. Now they have conveniently opened up their second restaurant in Chatswood, which has a bit more seating so the wait is never too long.
On Tuesday night I went to dinner with the bf as he is heading off to America for a few weeks. We decided on Din Tai Fung for a few reasons 1. we have been saying to come for a long time and I had talked it up considerably after going a few years ago 2. the smaller version of the restaurant has opened in the new Westfield Sydney which has been great but we needed the full menu experience 3. I am completely obsessed with dumplings atm 4. I am even more obsessed with noodle soups that have dumplings in them.
