Jar

This contemporary sculpture is located in Beare Park on the Sydney Harbour foreshore, in the eastern suburb of Elizabeth Bay. “The Jar” was created by Timothy Perrett and carved from a hebel block, an autoclaved aerated concrete block. It was originally part of an exhibition of three artists, developing works in progress on the public footway outside the court house at Taylor Square at Darlinghurst in the mid-1990s and was later purchased by the City of Sydney for this park.
