In the background, the lovely building is the Royal Hall of Industries at the old Sydney Showground at Moore Park.
These timbers are so inviting, so tactile. Not many people could walk past and resist running their hands across these beautiful pieces.
These young people were as at home at the timber show as the older people. Carpenters, cabinet-makers and craftspeople of the future!
The Timber and Working With Wood exhibition is an opportunity to test out all those bits of equipment a bloke (well, it was mainly blokes!) could ever want!
