Woolloomooloo, Finger Wharf

by Erica Whitener

The Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf on Wooloomooloo Bay is the largest timbered-piled building in the world. The wharf and warehouse on it were built in 1915 and remained part of a working port until the 1970s. The warehouse building was redeveloped in the 1990s into a hotel and apartments. There are restaurants along the boardwalk and a marina beside the wharf.Click here to view all participants of Watery Wednesday Click here to view all participants of Outdoor Wednesday Posted byJ Barat12:00 AM
